Political Stability Through Individual Restrictions

Political Stability Through Individual Restrictions

Recently, I have been observing an emerging trend and a quite significant violation of our EU citizen rights as guaranteed by different Treaties, institutions and legislation that is contained in tons of case law. I have been reading the EU journals with quite a lot of interest and I recently realised that if we need to defend out rights as protected by these treaties, it is now going to be quite difficult. The EU has managed to penetrate to areas of domestic policies even such areas like horse liability here in the UK, but the organization seems to be neglecting its citizens in terms of reviewing the legislation that actually affects them the most.

Before, in order to promote itself, the organization allowed any concerned individual to participate in the judicial review procedures and to be remedied for any burden he has suffered. this included financial companies, business owners even individuals that had nothing to do with any commercial activity. Nowadays, the European Court of Justice is more than reluctant to grant anyone a right to object a decision of the institution – something indicating that the organization is getting stronger. Think about that yourself – before it was easy to see on the news how someone won a case against say, the European Commission. Now, this is so rarely seen, that it would probably be a blockbuster on the news, worthy of being represented in a movie.

So what is the general conclusion – that we cannot defend ourselves against the huge and enormous power that the Union is constantly generating? It seems that this is the probably answer – we are protected from ourselves by not being allowed to object any decision made by the authorities. In theory, we are entitled to object anything but in practice, that would hardly be the case. So get ready EU citizens, it is time for us to get a but neglected for the common good and for the benefit of a wholly evolving organization.
