Going to the dentist’s: a necessary evil!

And I use the word EVIL in the title of this here article because…well, doesn’t that sound about right to you? OK, so maybe that’s being a bit harsh. But thinking about it now, come on, be honest, when was the last time you went to the dentist my friend?

Here are a few reasons why you really should just swallow your fear and go to the dentist. And trust me, I am speaking from experience here:

1) The sooner you go, the less bad it’ll be: talk about anything while you’re sitting in the chair of doom. Talk about how oak windows surrey arrived and did a magnificent job on those windows at the back of the house (even though it cost more than you would have liked, but still, it was worth it!). Talk about your dog. Talk about anything. Just get through the pain and you will be fine, and remember, the sooner you do it, the sooner you start to feel much better!

…you’ll be able to enjoy your food again too. Now isn’t that something to celebrate?

2) The hardest part really is booking the appointment: OK, so I won’t lie to you, the injections really do hurt and when they are yanking your tooth out, that isn’t too pleasurable either. But the point is that some problems really do grow into enormous problems if you don’t get them sorted soon. For example, gum disease can infect the jaw and then you have much bigger issues on your hands…or teeth. In fact, you may have to go to hospital. You won’t be so proud of yourself for not going to the dentist for 8 years then!

3) Modern dentists aren’t nearly as bad as the old ones when you were a kid, honest: a lot of people think that nothing has changed, but in fact dentistry is much less painful than ever before. Once you’ve had it done – whatever it is – you’ll be able to enjoy your food again too. Now isn’t that something to celebrate? I think we’d all agree with that!
